چکیده
Abstract Mars exploration motivates the search for extraterrestrial life, development of space technologies, and design human missions habitations. Here, we seek new insights pose unresolved questions relating to natural history Mars, habitability, robotic exploration, planetary protection, impacts on society. Key observations findings include: – high escape rates early Mars' atmosphere, including loss water, impact present-day habitability; putative fossils will likely be ambiguous biomarkers life; microbial contamination resulting from habitation is unavoidable; based current protection category, payload(s) should characterize local martian environment any life-forms prior habitation. Some outstanding are: which interpretation hemispheric dichotomy planet correct; what degree did deep-penetrating faults transport subsurface liquids surface; in abundance are carbonates formed by atmospheric processes; properties meteorites could used constrain their source locations; origin(s) organic macromolecules; was/is inhabited; how can designed uncover activity eliminate potential false positives caused contaminants Earth; ensure that humans microbes form a stable benign biosphere; relate life biocentric viewpoint (preservation all biology), or anthropocentric expanding space? Studies evolution shed light habitability extrasolar planets. In addition, drive future policy developments confirm (or put into question) feasibility and/or extent space.

The geology of Mars: new insights and outstanding questions
The major dynamic forces shaping the surfaces, crusts, and lithospheres of planets are represented by geological processes (Figures 1.1 1.6) which are linked to interaction with the atmosphere (e.g., aeolian, polar), with the hydrosphere (e.g., fluvial, lacustrine), with the cryosphere (e.g., glacial and periglacial), or with the crust, lithosphere, and interior (e.g., tectonism and volcanism)....

متن کاملOrthostatic Tremor and Orthostatic Myoclonus: Weight-bearing Hyperkinetic Disorders: A Systematic Review, New Insights, and Unresolved Questions
BACKGROUND Orthostatic tremor (OT) and orthostatic myoclonus (OM) are weight-bearing hyperkinetic movement disorders most commonly affecting older people that induce "shaky legs" upon standing. OT is divided into "classical" and "slow" forms based on tremor frequency. In this paper, the first joint review of OT and OM, we review the literature and compare and contrast their demographic, clinica...

The RBR (RING-BetweenRING-RING) or TRIAD [two RING fingers and a DRIL (double RING finger linked)] E3 ubiquitin ligases comprise a group of 12 complex multidomain enzymes. This unique family of E3 ligases includes parkin, whose dysfunction is linked to the pathogenesis of early-onset Parkinson's disease, and HOIP (HOIL-1-interacting protein) and HOIL-1 (haem-oxidized IRP2 ubiquitin ligase 1), m...
